PEDs: Attentive Pooches
One thing I notice on our weekly pack walks is how attentive our pooches are to their people. So many photos are of our pooches looking up to their owners

...even if it is bribed by treats.

PEDs: Winter Walk Locations
One of the hardest things in selecting a walk location during the winter months is planning for snow and proper removal.
The pedestrian traffic decreases with the temperature.

Year End Blues
Working in a manufacturing facility, the end of the year is an incredibly busy time for me. It is a lot of early mornings and late evenings (and less time to blog). I used to work close to home, but after our company moved locations, I can no longer make my lunchtime treks home.
This leaves us with tired humans and cooped up dogs. By the time we get home and get something going for dinner, we have time to relax for a TV episode or a walk around the neighborhood. On days like this, snuggling with the pooches and an episode win out. Plus, it is always dark.
Of course, we have pretty lazy dogs and Tess absolutely hates the cold and snow, so they are pretty content with the snuggling.
Which leaves us with dogs (and humans) that are not getting enough exercise, nor structured time. And while this may not immediately impact us or the pooches, it likely will have effects on their behavior and health over the course of a few months.
One thing we always contemplate is getting someone to come walk the dogs during the day, even if just a few days a week, but the price really scares us!
Does anyone have a daily walker? Thoughts?

PEDs: Pack Tshirts from Erie Apparel
One of the things that our members frequently note is how much of a community our group is. We celebrate successes and lend encouragement on an off day. We have taken friendships "beyond the pack."
To represent this, we decided to get pack tshirts. I contacted Greg at Erie Apparel to see about getting a design created. I sent him very loose design thoughts (with our name! something Erie-ish? definitely need a leash! and a blocky-headed dog?) and they nailed it. After one minor tweak, we got a logo that is so representative of our group on a tshirt that is oh, so cozy!
Thanks a million Erie Apparel for the great tshirts!
