Rub-a-Dub

After switching to grain-free food, the pooches coats are so much nicer.  And although Edison needs baths far less often, he's still a boy and gets a...musk.

We love taking him to our favorite place to get fresh where we can bath him without breaking our backs, wrecking our bathroom, and leave the mess.

The best part -- he comes out smelling so, SO fresh!

How do you bathe your pooch? In the tub?  Outside? At a dog wash?

  1. During the summer we will bathe the dogs outside with a hose and usually after a nice long walk so they are a little tired. But, during the winter I'll either take them to to be groomed or to a dog wash myself.

  2. We bathe Luigi in our tub. Last week, our yard was so muddy at least 4 days we had to give him a bath. We wipe his paws and then put a leash on him to walk him through the house straight to the tub. He truly is a mud monster.

    1. HA! That's the worst part for us around spring and fall. Edison does okay in the bath (and he's really the muddy one), but Tesla HATES them. Last week she rolled in something NASTY in the yard and I had to try to clean her with wipes and waterless shampoo. She still smells faintly of decay, but it's worth it since bathtime is torturous!

  3. Cutest bath pictures! I like those dog washing stations at the pet store. We use them for Zoey because he takes so long to bathe & the dryers are essential for her German Shepherd coat. But Kaya & Norman hate the bath so much that I just want it done as quick as possible & do them at home, hose in the summer, tub in the winter. I only bathe Kaya when she rolls in stinky animal poop on hikes(about once a month) and Norman before therapy visits(a couple times a month).

    1. We've given up even trying to give Tess a bath because it is so miserable for all of us. If she really needs it, I bought a waterless shampoo, but it makes her kind of oily so I don't use it much.
