Poop Machines

Dogs poop - that's a fact.  When I brought Tess home, we had a pretty regular schedule where she would go once on our morning walk and once on our evening walk (and always in the same exact spot!).

After bringing Edison home, I figured we'd double that.  But somehow, with only adding one dog, I swear we have 8 times the amount of poop than before.  What happened?!

Has anyone else experienced this same phenomena?

  1. Still only a 1-dog house, but Juno really tries hard to poop-walk the perimeter of the fenced-in backyard each and every day. She covers an average area of about 6 - 8' long with each poop session. It's pretty impressive. I believe she's leaving smell-o-grams for the neighbor dogs on all 3 fence borders.

  3. We went from kibble to Raw and decrease the poop output (frequency and volume) exponentially! I highly recommend it as a fabulous side effect of the diet.

    1. Wow - that's amazing! We haven't done much research into raw diets, so we're definitely not into a position to switch, but we definitely saw good side effects from switching to grain free kibble!

  4. Something tells me Edison is the real poop machine! Luckily Kaya & Norman always do their pooping when we go hiking and they go so far uphill and deep into the woods that I can't justify getting there to clean it up. I do have to clean up the yard once is a while though and they seem to go in one corner most of the time. I call it the poop graveyard:/

Zoey, on the other hand, poops about 3 times in a 20 minute walk. She is a total poop-head.

    1. Ha! How'd you guess? We actually call Edi "Doodie Face"

    2. Haha! When Kaya & Norman were puppies they would accidentally step in their poop sometimes and I called it doodie-foot. They always looked so shameful when I'd say it:( Or maybe they just knew they had their own poop on their foot...
