Warmer Weather

After the winter we had this year, we feel like we deserve some warmer weather.  We've been so excited to spend more time outside and take long walks with the pooches.

But as the temperatures rise - we hit 90 degrees earlier this week! - all our pooches want to do in lounge around in the shade!!

How do your pooches handle the heat?

  2. We have the same issue! Jake refuses to go outside if it's hot, he will put the brakes on his body and become immobile if we try to move him along. Melvin will go out and do what he needs to do then hightail it back to the AC. They are spring/fall dogs!

  3. Lainey is for sure a summer dog! Given the option to stay inside in the AC or go out in the 90% humidity, she will always choose to be outside. She doesn't even choose to lay in the shade when she rests....she is always laying in the direct sunlight! This makes it challenging for us because we have to monitor her so closely and make sure she isn't getting too over-heated and/or sunburned.

  4. Kaya & Norman get pretty floppy in the heat but it never gets truly hot here. I sometimes give them ice cubes in a bowl. I'm not sure if they like the coolness or the challenge of trying to pick them up:)

  5. There's an awful lot of lounging, napping in front of fans and water.
