Prescient Pooches

One thing we've noticed about the pooches is that they seem to have a sixth sense about when we are coming home.

Sam noticed it first.  Tesla would perk up and run to the back door long before I ever pulled in the driveway.

I've noticed at other times, Tess running back to greet Sam long before he arrives.

I don't know if Edison is picking up on Tess's clairvoyance or just following his sister, but he's been anticipating our arrivals lately, too.

Does your pooch predict the arrival of loved ones?

  1. That's cool. Apparently Boomer and Dottie seem to know when I'll be home most of the time. My hubby says they start to get restless.

  2. Is it random times? I've heard of dogs being aware of their surroundings like if TV is on they can know after which show their human comes home.. haha either way very cool!

    1. I never heard of that!! I don't know how they know -- we don't leave on a TV or radio or anything!

  3. I bet it's the best part of their day! I read somewhere that it's all about timing, that something happens (a bus goes by at a regular time) and they know shortly mom comes home. Whatever that trigger is that helps them tell time, LOVE!

    1. I have never heard that! We don't leave a TV or anything on, but we live right next to a bus stop, so maybe that's it!!

  4. So clever and cute! I don't know if Kaya & Norman can tell when I'm coming home but I often walk onto the front porch and 3 sleepy (Gina too) but happy faces peek out the window at me since the couch backs up to the window:)
