Growing Up

It's no secret that Edison was a monster handful when we first brought him home.

But in the past 2 years (has it really only been that long?), we have seen him really mature and grow into the perfect friend.  While he definitely still has his issues, he has changed in so many ways.

His play sessions have become shorter, while his naps have grown long.  And while were not ready to usher him into seniority quite yet, we're happy about the peace that's been granted to the house.

But don't worry, with this little guy staying with us, there is plenty of play time.

Have you seen the ways your dog has matured?  Or do they still play like a puppy?

  1. Oddly enough, Ray won't even be two until December, but just last night Asia and I were commting that we sometimes forget he isn't an Elderbull already.

  2. I love that transition, when they are just enough puppy and just enough adult! That balance is beautiful! Melvin hit that mark around year 7 and it was bliss!

  3. Kaya has definitely matured a lot, I love her more the older she gets! But Norman is exactly the same though he was such an easy puppy, he didn't have much to grow out of:) They still love to wrestle and play too.

  4. I can tell Boomer and Dottie are aging quicker (they're 10 and 8 years old now) because of all their naps and moans and groans. They still have their moments of pure puppy though and I love it!

  5. So sweet (and we do seem to be on the same page lately!). Mr. B rides in the car like that too.

  6. My little own just turned one and we are definitely not seeing signs of slowing down- at ALL! And that's the way we love it. :)
